Allegra Lopez, Pilates Instructor NCPTAllegra has had the pleasure of teaching at Mind Your Body since 2006 and is our pre/postnatal specialty instructor. She teaches a variety of clientele, ranging in all levels, and is often found doing her own Advanced Practice in the studio. Allegra is a client favorite and books rather quickly because she focuses on specific alignment, body awareness, and developing core strength, and encourages this to be part of daily life. She has a hands-on approach, supportive, patient, yet persistent.

Anna Bernal, GYROTONIC® InstructorAnna was immediately drawn to its power to heal from the inside out by enhancing strength, building flexibility, and increasing body awareness. In her classes, you will work for a flexible and healthy strong spine and discover a different approach in how to work out your entire body to support your alignment. Anna brings a deep understanding of movement to her role as a certified GYROTONIC® trainer. Since becoming a teacher, she has shared this transformative method in both Barcelona, her home and New York. Anna stays current in her training to develop skills while pursuing her career in dance.

Arielle Medina, Pilates InstructorArielle wants her clients to build a movement vocabulary for everyday exercises that can help in their daily routines. She is a living testimony to Pilates; seeing how her body has changed throughout every stage of her Practice. She wants all of our clients to have a better sense of body awareness after each session/class. Arielle is your “cheerleading” instructor who celebrates your biggest and smallest achievements together. Dawvyn Winters, Pilates InstructorDawvyn is a passionate classical Pilates instructor with a foundation in contemporary dance. As a professional dancer, she recognizes the vital role Pilates plays in nurturing and strengthening the body. She teaches all levels with a blend of artistry, flow, and intensity. Dawvyn focuses on personalizing one-on-one sessions to meet the individual needs of each client, whether they are working toward injury recovery, improved strength, or simply a deeper connection with their body. In order to deepen the connection of the mind and body, she also fosters a soothing class atmosphere while emphasizing the importance of breath work. James Duus, Pilates InstructorWhile working with James, one can expect to focus on the basic fundamentals of physical fitness. He encourages broad concepts and increases the details with practice. James guides each client with a hands-on approach to help releasing and letting go while working for maximum results free of tension. James has enjoyed his twelve years at Mind Your Body and his warm, positive demeanor makes it easy to keep a consistent Pilates practice. James is trained in Activated Isolated Stretch and with approval, will convert a Pilates lesson to an AI session.

Jessie Hernandez, Pilates InstructorJessie has been teaching for over eight years and has a student approach. One can expect her to be passionate about creating flows that are rooted in foundational technique while exploring innovative ways to challenge the body, deepen alignment, and expand strength and mobility. Through her classes, she creates an empowering, supportive movement space where students feel strong, present, and connected in their bodies. She encourages students to show up fully for themselves and give 100% of whatever they have each day, honoring their bodies and energy without judgment. She graduated summa cum laude from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance and minors in Philosophy and Education, which she draws on to cultivate and share the value of movement as a pathway to holistic wellness.
