Emily Wagner

NY Pilates Instructor
Emily Wagner was introduced to Pilates at age 15, as a ballet dancer. She quickly saw a difference in her dancing and couldn’t believe how much power she gained in very little time. She’s been hooked ever since.

Emily received her teacher training from Body Arts & Sciences International while dancing professionally in Amsterdam. She has supplemented her education with workshops at the Pilates Academy International and the Physical Mind Institute. Emily has used Pilates as a tool to continually refine, refurbish & even rebuild her body. It’s her key source of movement, in & out of the dance studio, and it helps keep her strong yet supple and injury- free despite the physical demands of ballet. Emily is also a strong believer and participant of yoga and GyrokinesisTM. Emily’s teaching is intense yet gentle. Her pilates education, along with her keen body awareness and knowledge as a dancer, enable her to get the most from her clients, physically and mentally. Just back from Amsterdam, she is very happy to be in the “Big Apple” again and teaching with the wonderful team at Mind Your Body.
