MAT
Mat is traditional Pilates class, designed to develop body with a sound mind. This is physical fitness, so get ready to work out! The fundamental technique concentrates on alignment (the key to bone health) and breathing. Mat is a good way to start if you’ve never done Pilates before. All levels are open unless stated in the schedule. The intermediate classes are more advanced.
REFORMER
Reformer is the most familiar equpment used to enhance Pilates work. You will develop muscular power with corresponding endurance. Some exercises are performed lying down, providing a base of support for the spine.
TOWER
Tower is often considered the Cadillac of all equipment. This Pilates apparatus will have you sitting, lying, kneeling and standing! It permits many lengthening exercises designed to restore the spine to its normal birth position.
YOGA
Yoga (Vinyasa) stretching, alignment & flow will follow the level of the students in class.
GYROKINESIS®
Gyrokinesis® the class of many spirals entails opening the spine and joints by arching, curling, unwinding, stretching, bending & breathing. It begins on a stool, then moves to mat, and ultimately to standing.
