If tithing isn’t part of your yearly salary, I think we all understand, particularly these past few years. The economy is rough these days and for those who do not have jobs, savings or basic needs, they are asking for bare minimums. At a holiday party recently, one picks a paper decoration from a christmas tree and donates the item to that family. In years past, it has been toys for children, games etc… This year, people are asking for money to pay bills, food, food-stamps, bare necessities. My heart skipped a beat.
The economy is tough but for those of us still working, paying our monthly bills and making small cuts such as coffee, nail decor or retail, I hope you will consider giving to someone or an organization struggling to reach the bare minimum for the year’s end. It is tough out there for all of us but if you can spare 10% of your salary or one week’s pay, there are people and organizations that need you. Food seems to be on top of Santa’s list this year.
Mind Your Body has donated $380.00 to City Harvest in November in response to group class numbers. Thanks to everyone who attended group classes; you have made this donation possible. Mind Your Body will repeat this gracious act again in December.
I personally, helped: Feed the Children, Dogs Deserve Better and sent care packages to soldiers. Googling donations has been interesting and touching. I understood how deep my pockets could be.

The Detox Day was a great success. We learned nutritious ways to snack and eat healthier meals, how to substitute and make better nutritious choices and
why it is important to Detox to maintain overall skin, organ general health, and energy!!
I was challenged by the voidness of coffee (by choice), drinking the recommended 64ozs of water and the number of vitamins set up in the 3-day program.
My skin, energy level and insides felt clean and free of toxins for sure. I have now cut down on coffee intake, am encouraged to drink more water and to take
a consistent regimen of vitamins.
CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL WHO ATTENDED AND COMPLETED THE 3-DAY DETOX…… Look forward to some healthy recipes in the near future.
